How can children deal with Divorce during the holidays?


1) It is important to speak with the children and find out how they are dealing with the current events. If your child is struggling with the divorce, one must seek ways to help them.

2) Often it is easy to forget the child’s feelings; however, it is important to put them and their needs first. What will help them feel more comfortable with the split and make them have less anxiety regarding having their time split between two parents.

3) Get your child’s mind off the way things used to be by participating in new activities together.

In a study conducted at a University of Chicago it is said that those who are divorced or have lost a spouse are 20% more likely to encounter health problems. These health problems can range from heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. When those whose marriages have ended do not remarry they often encounter more health issues and are more stressed.
